Elizabeth Ellen O'Keefe Elizabeth Ellen O'Keefe, an ex-student, was from Divernon in Sangamon County, Illinois. She entered the service in February 1918 and served with the Army Nurse Corps in hospitals in Michigan, New York and in July sailed for France. In January 1919 she was promoted to chief nurse at U.S. Convalescent Hospital #4 in Nice, France. She was discharged in August 1919 |
