Catherine Belle Smith

Catherine Belle Smith of Bloomington, Illinois entered the Army Nurse Corps in August 1918 and was discharged in March 1919. While serving in France she came under fire several times and was at Verdun when the armistice was signed. She married Lee S. Brooks.
