Eleanor Sheldon

Eleanor Sheldon of Oshkosh, Wisconsin was a member of the Illinois State Normal University Faculty from 1917 to 1929. She was hired to teach English at a salary of $1600 for 42 weeks. She was also assistant dean of women and the first head of Fell Hall (women's residence hall) when it opened in the summer of 1918. She received her A.M. from the University of Minnesota. She entered the service in February 1919 and was discharged in August 1919. She served as a YMCA canteen worker near Le Mans, France.
