Elsie Paisley

Elsie Paisley, class of 1902, was from Hillsboro in Montgomery County, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois in the summer of 1904 and taught in a rural school (1903), in Charleston (1904) and Thomasville (1904-05) and Indianapolis (1905-09). She started nurses training at St. Luke's Training School in 1910 and taught at St. Luke's in 1912. She entered service in July 1918 and served in the Army Nurse Corps at Camp Pike, Arkansas. She was discharged in July 1919. After the war she became a school nurse in Pulaski County, Arkansas.
